Dr. Cornel West: Black Prophetic Fire
HIH 24-04

Dr. Cornel West his giving a presentation on October 9, 2014 at Town Hall in Seattle, WA.
based on his book, Black Prophetic Fire. This dynamic speaker addresses an American Issue with grace, style, and intellect while he inspires, intrigues and challenges us. “The condition of Truth is to allow Suffering to speak.” “Our destinies are woven together” in this country, and perhaps in this world. Insight is mixed with humor. Love stirs reality and change.

Dr. West is a professor, a philosopher, an author, and an activist. He is Professor of the Practice of Public Philosophy at Harvard University. He has taught at Union Theological Seminary, at Yale, at Harvard, and at the University of Paris. Cornel West graduated Magna Cum laude from Harvard in three years and attained his M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy at Princeton. He has written 20 books and edited 13. Frequently a TV and radio guest, he has also been a commentator and has appeared in over 25 documentaries and films. Dr. West has produced three word albums.

Welcome to a great voice of our times that will be mentioned in our History books of the future.
