Two $3,000 Scholarships Offered by Lopez Thrift Shop

• This year the Lopez Thrift Shop is offering two scholarships, in the amount of
$3,000, for each of two Lopez Island graduating high school seniors.
• Any graduating senior residing on Lopez Island may apply, including those graduating from Lopez Island School, an off-island school, a private school, or those who may be home-schooled.
•Applicants must be planning to attend a two-year or four-year college, or a technical school. The scholarship must be used during the academic year 2024/2025. The award is open to all fields of study.
• Applications may be downloaded from the Thrift Shop lopezthriftshop.org. They are also available at the Thrift Shop during open hours (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 10am-1pm). The Thrift Shop is located in the Village at 60 Tower Rd. An application is also attached to this announcement.
• Completed applications must be mailed or delivered to the Thrift Shop by noon on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Lopez Thrift Shop raises money entirely through retail sales of donated merchandise. Volunteers do all the work: sorting, pricing, storing, displaying, selling and day-to-day cleaning. The Thrift Shop was founded in 1982 to raise money to buy equipment for the Lopez clinic. Since that time the Shop has supported numerous local organizations.
