If you don't want to use those thin plastic bags at the market that are offered for your produce purchase, here is a cheap and sensible alternative:
Reusable mesh produce sacks from the 'EarthWise Bag Company', available at Amazon.
They are machine washable and reusable, have a drawstring, can be stored with the produce in the fridge, since they are breathable.
I would also encourage everybody to start using biodegradable plastic bags and wrap that are available out here now.
This is just a suggestion.

I believe they do. I know that they have nylon bags with a mesh front and I think they have entirely mesh bags.

Yes, maybe Blossom or the Market could carry the mesh veggie bags so we could shop locally?

Hear, hear! Blossom has a variety of reusable, non-plastic alternatives also. My understanding is that the biodegradable kind is not much better than the usual kind as it doesn't degrade completely but maybe someone knows otherwise.
